FAQ

Is the procedure safe?

Yes. Lashes are lifted onto a specially shaped lifting silicone pads before products are applied so no products will be touching your skin.

Are there possible side effects?

The product never touches the skin during the process. Redness around the eye may occur due to the product removal process (wiping eyes with cotton rounds), but should disappear within a few minutes after the procedure.

What length do my lashes have to be?

We recommend the Keratin Lash Lift to those with medium to long lashes.

I have straight lashes, will the Keratin Lash Lift work for me?

Yes! The Keratin Lash Lift is the perfect solution to curl straight lashes.

How long is the appointment?

It takes about 90 minutes from start to finish. You will have to keep your eyes closed during the whole treatment.

Will the lash lift damage my natural lashes?

No, I am professionally trained and skilled to care for your lashes in the proper way. Ingredients of the lift treatment  include Keratin, Aloe Vera and Castor Oil which nourishes & strengthens your natural lashes.

What should I do before my appointment?

Make sure you arrive at your appointment with clean eyes. If you wear contacts, remove them prior to your appointment.

I am pregnant, can I get a lash lift?

It is not recommended to have a lash lift treatment done when pregnant during your 1st Trimester. Your eyes should also be healthy.  A clearance note from your doctor is highly recommended and required .  

What if I have sensitive eyes?

If your eyes are sensitive, you may schedule to come in 24-48 hours prior to your appointment for an patch test. Please email info@skincarebymeda.com to schedule a complimentary patch test. 

*If you’ve had recent eye surgery, have sensitive eyes, allergies to products, hay fever/watery eyes, conjunctivitis, pink eye, swollen/red eyes, dry eye syndrome, using prescribed medicated eye drops, are pregnant, or are currently prescribed and using the medication- Thyroxin (in some cases can prevent lashes from curling), please email us at info@skincarebymeda.com before scheduling your appointment.

After Care

  • Client should expect not to get their lashes wet for 24 hours.

  • Client should avoid any oils and creams around their eye area for 48 hours.

  • Client should not sleep on their face for 48 hours, and try sleeping on their back instead to avoid pressing newly lifted lashes against their pillow and changing the shape of the lashes.

  • Client should avoid any steam of excessive heat for 24 hours after treatment.

  • Waterproof mascara is not recommended.
